Long Time MRSA Sufferer Tells Her Story

Kathleen's Story

I have suffered from MRSA for two years now.

I was not diagnosed for the first year and a half .

Am going to try and make a very long story short .

First I am a single disabled mom.

I have raised two wonderful children alone one is in college to be a Dr. of Physical Therapy.

My younger is a wonderful student and artist but they have been through so much and always help and never complain. Let me just say before the story my family has been through many hardships over the last 12 year first my dad had cancer for 6 years one year later mom had a stroke and became bedridden .

I myself have had five stomach surgeries and one resulting in a 4 and a half inch tunnel from a staph infection which had to be packed for 4 months before closing . I am telling you this because what happen to my family with the doctors who cared for me should not happen to anyone else with MRSA .

I was pushed from doctors to hospital to specialists with no help for the first year and a half my younger daughter no longer trusts doctors due to this experience.

It all started in April – May of 2008 I started to feel as if I had the flu than I would get headaches , body aches in my knees, arms, back all over I started to see small red almost like pimples start to come on my body i was so tired i could not move which was not me.

I felt swollen all over i started to get worse and worse so I went to the doctor now mind you my doctor of ten years moved to Maryland just when i needed her most. So they give me an assistant DO to care for me she put me on triacyline antibiotic for 6 months and every antibiotic creme you can think of for topical , they even put my legs in an una bootie which is medicine in it they did not work either , so now it been six months am so sick at this point i cant stand it I was getting very upset with their care.

In the meantime I had first thought it was a spider bite but than it keep spreading we bomb the house thinking we had bugs we had man in to check the home finally i had a man come from terminex and he asked me Kathleen what did you do different this year that you never did before.

I told him i never had a problem in the home with bugs i live here 10 years the only thing i did was take a bird nest off the dryer vent this man told me he believe it had been bird mites but by that time it was October and they would be domain this man proceeded to tell me that bird mites are parasites i have no idea about the country I am from New York so this was all new to me.

So I went back to the doctor by now they give me a New young male doctor who never knew me and had meet me after 6 months of suffering I was not going to be run around again I was in so much pain I told him what the man from terminex said from that point on the nightmare started Oh and let me just say that I am a heavy woman I have always known my body and been a clean well dressed woman and prided myself on my good reputation in the community and with my children I dont have lots of money but I always was a good well rounded person and always look to the bright side of every situation.

This young man started to tell people it was me I was having parasite delusions I never at any time told this young man I thought that I told him what the man told me from terminex anyway I would go to the hospital in pain vomiting and just swollen suffering terrible he would tell the doctor i was overweight and to give me a water pill and send me home i was so upset this happen three time my younger daughter told the one doctor in the hospital my mom is so sick look at her body cant you see they told her to shut up and sit down I was furious at that point and decided to go to New York to a specialist in infectious disease this lady was in a nassau hospital.

But what i did not know is my doctor contacted her before i arrived and told her the same thing i was overweight and it was circulation . My circulation until this day is fine as was it than so I spend money i did not have to go to new york just to be told i have been in this business for 30 years and you need to lose weight I just had lose all hope at this point so I came home it was now January 2009 I was so sick but they had given me a new antibiotic that help a little bactrum and i was wiping down every day with the sodium chloride they had give me to do the wet to dry dressing and triple anticbolis tropical cream.

I did not know what else to do I just give up on doctors I had called the only infectious disease doctor in the area six months early to get help and he told me he refused because my doctor said it was not needed mind you my surgeon who is very highly respected in this area told them I know this woman and her family for years they are wonderful people if she came to you for help please believe her because she would not go to a doctor for no reason after all my family been through.

We don’t even want to look at doctors anyway they did not listen to him so for the next 6 months i took the antibiotics and tried herbal product and cremes to see if they would help aloe was the one thing that did help but my older daughter got real mad seeing her mom so ill and told me mom am going to take your systoms and history I will find what wrong with you remember I had never in my life heard of MRSA.

So remember she is becoming a Doctor herself so she came to me and said mom I think you have MRSA I said what is that she told me the next wound that open I needed to get cultured for MRSA I was so sick of doctors but for my children I would do anything so I found a young lady doctor who know nothing about this doctor who did all this bad stuff and told her the story and asked for one thing respect that’s all I wanted to get well for my children and respect well it was now June 2009 and guess what it was MRSA all along.

My surgeon was furious with the other doctors and oh yes the infectious disease doctor in the area I had to go to his office he give me an assistant doctor in his office because he was so embarrassed what he did they had the wrong history my surgeon told them this lady had one of the worse staph infection even after antibiotics before during and after surgery her stomach split and was packed for four months and she never had fever all of you had the wrong history they never checked properly.

This young doctor he just assumed what he wanted without even knowing me remember he meet me six months into the MRSA I was already in pain I still have MRSA nothing has taken it away.

I have Faith in Shannon’s product because he had send me a bottle of the pH about a year ago it help but I could not afford to stay with it so now after two years of suffering I will embark on using the PH liquid and gel and wash and I will wait to see the results If this product works its a miracle of god and Shannon his heart is in the right place as his family member had it too and he cares.

I hope no one ever is treated as poorly as I was with this terrible disease again and hopefully after the pictures are put up on the web we will see the results and others will get help people have told me to sue the hospital and doctor this is not what am about I only care about getting well for my children and caring for others to get well too God will handle the doctors and hospitals.
