I am only 44 y/o and have been put on total disability with my younger sister & her husband taking care of me. I have had chronic pain since the age of 18 – diagnosis was severe Endometriosis including inside the lining of large investment… after years of suffering and many MD’s they decided to put me under the Fibromyalgia umbrella and when the lesions on my face started in 2001 also felt many autoimmune problems including lupus. I eventually had to give up my full time job as a Paramedic and went back to school for Medical Massage ( hoping this would help many other chronic pain patients) I have been a caretaker my whole life and even took care of my Mom in home-hospice (Our home)… I was very active with extreme sports and always a free spirit. I am now basically bed-ridden 75% of the time, recently gave up on dating (even though I look healthy when the lesions are not present)… but like all the other story’s … it comes right back. I feel like I am not able to keep going… my long bones are on fire and I am on a butt-load of RX’s. I really feel like my life has been taken away from me and in 2008 my Mom passed away peacefully… but then I lost my home to flooding and Quarry blasting (2-3x’s day) at the same time one of the 2 sister/litter mates past away from depression of the lose of our Mom. I did not even have a chance to “empty nest” my only child who went into the Army/Airborne – Infantry…. and the man I was dating could not handle all the chaos. I know it sound like a country song…LOL . but it all really happened. I have also been so sick with low grade fevers I have had a lot of memory loss. I feel isolated with bandages all over my face that I don’t go out or even have trouble reading, TV, any noise or light including computer… that I have lost my purpose and the only thing I can do is pray. Thank God my surviving Golden Retriver hung in there with me … but she also has to be suffering from MRSA-and now has open wounds on belly and over her eye… these pups were trained to be therapy dogs and I really believe they are just little “fuzz-butts” that came here to be earth angels :O} .. If we can get me back on my feet… I will find a grant so that I can travel the entire country to give them this information. I have always been and EMS instructor and now a student again… I would love to turn that around and help so many people that are suffering and NOT getting any answers. I also pray that some of the Docs would check their egos at the door and help!!! Last time I read the Hippocratic oath…. you become a doctor to teach! I really am serious about this… and see if we can help each other. Thank you so much for all your time and dedication!
